Welcome and thank you for your interest in The Bridge Academy. Founded in 2003 by parents, educators and members of the community, The Bridge Academy's sole focus is on helping children with learning disabilities reach their fullest potential.
While The Bridge Academy is young as an organization, it already has much to show in terms of its accomplishments. Students making multi-year improvements in reading comprehension, writing and mathematics in a single school year are commonplace. Our graduates are going on to higher education opportunities they or their parents would not have thought possible when they first enrolled. Other students are successfully transitioning to mainstream high school settings after getting put back on track through the attention and expertise of our caring teaching staff.
I joined the Board of Trustees, and now serve proudly as its President, because I saw the remarkable work that is being done inside these walls and I felt driven to support it with my time and efforts. Visit once and you will be hooked too! You will feel the warmth, energy and compassion that make this a unique learning environment as soon as you set foot in the door. The Bridge Academy schedules regular Open Houses to let you do just that. However, until you have a chance to do so, I hope that this website will give you at least a flavor of what we are about, and what makes The Bridge Academy unique.
Whether you are a parent of a child with language learning or related disabilities, a member of the community, an education professional or simply an interested person wanting to know more, I welcome your interest in our site. In addition, the staff and I personally welcome any questions, comments, thoughts or offers of support you may have. Feel free to contact us by phone or by using the “Contact Us” link on this site.
