Bridge Gala Nets $46,000!

Thanks to our parents, grandparents, staff, alumni, friends and area businesses and for their generous support of our 8th Annual “Reach for the Stars” gala and auction. Held at the Trenton Country Club on Saturday, April 9, the Gala netted over $46,000 for our school. Congratulations to  parent co-chairs  Barbara Anderson, Lynne Florio and Christine Yetka for a great evening.

During the Cash Appeal portion of the live auction, parents and friends donated a total of $10,900 for our Build the Bridge Fund at the Gala, enabling us to receive a $5,000 matching grant from the Bruce J. Heim Foundation of Metarie, Louisiana. This is the 5th year in a row the school has received this generous challenge grant.

The Gala was a fantastic evening, highlighted by some remarkable testimonials from Bridge students, parents and alumni about how important Bridge has been to their success in school and in life.  

Highlights of the live auction included a hot air balloon ride over the New Jersey countryside, and vacation homes in Maine, Vermont, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Myrtle Beach, SC. The silent Wingspan raffle basket auction featuring specialty foods was again popular as were the Class Baskets, ranging from everything you need to bring to the beach to lots of good wine.

The 50/50 raffle raised $4,450, bringing $2,225 to the raffle winner. Congratulations to winner Sherry Schuh!

Special thanks to Zach Shelly and Scott Jennings of 1st Class Benefits for their spirited auctioneering, to The New Impressionists for the musical entertainment, and to Willis Greenhouses of Lawrenceville for donating the floral arrangements.
