Development Report

Thanks to our many supporters, The Bridge Academy raised just over $123,000 during the 2008-2009 school year. How did we do that in a difficult economy? Parents, board members, alumni and friends of the school contributed a total of $50,600 in unrestricted and restricted gifts to the school’s Annual Fund. Our annual Gala, held at the Trenton Country Club on March 17, plus a few smaller events during the year raised another $73,000.

Of special note were two challenge grants: The first, a $10,000 grant by an anonymous donor challenged us to raise $20,000 by June 30 for the Annual Fund. We exceeded that goal by over $10,000! The second, a $5,000 grant by the Bruce J. Heim Foundation of Metarie, Louisiana, challenged us to raise $10,000 at the Gala for capital improvements for the school. We matched that grant as well. This is the third year in a row that the Heim Foundation has made such a challenge to the school. We are grateful to the Heim Foundation and to our generous donor for encouraging our constituents to reach a little deeper to help us “Build the Bridge.”

We are very pleased to announce that we again have a $10,000 challenge grant which will match new or increased gifts up to a total of $20,000 to our Annual Fund for the current school year.  To make a gift online, please click here
